  1. hi im new on here, my girl freind has got a 2000 a3,1.8 sport. unless you disconect the battery it will go dead overnight. ive done the muti-meter test which shows 18ma draw after shut down. from what i have read up to 50ma is acceptable. i pulled fuses anyway just to see what happened now the only thing i noticed is when you remove the central locking fuse it shoots up to 140ma and then drops again when it is replaced. now i watched the meter for 20mins or so after shut down and it held at 18.2 ma then for about 1-2 seconds it jumped up 160ma then dropped straight away. ive hunted high and low for curstiy lights, radio had been disconected, it had a phone thing in which i have ripped out. Ive checked the boot lock for washer fluid dripping on it, like i say ive pulled all fuses. any idea's guys as i can't afford £40 and hour on an auto electrician. thanks in advance tosh
