good to hear David - it really transforms the cabin - i could run a cable all the way for the rear camera but i'm keen to get a solution for the wireless one i have!

ive just installed car play on my 2010 s5. transforms the car

i posted on the general forum but i bought one of these this week as i was fed up not being able to play spotify in the car https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126650338199 plugged straight in and works well for anyone having the same issue. today the carplay module arrived - i'm not sure i'll have time this week to install due to work but i'll keep you updated on it

for anyone interested i bit the bullet and purchased this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126650338199 plugged straight into the glovebox and i can now play music via my phone - it dosent display the tracks but for £15 you cant complain!

Always nice to hear from a fellow Gareth!! when i saw the weather forecast for this week and weekend i knew i had to get a purchase done - glad i did and with a few trips planned this weekend, i'm looking forward to it. i'm not a typical marketers audience as i tend to do what i want but fair point re the structural build (although how different is the S5 to the RS5 structurally) i think the carplay is first on the list as not being able to play spotify when i can in my kids car and my aging BMWx5 is frustrating. cheers Gareth

Hi All - just purchased a 2010 S5 convertible. its my first audi having owned a wide range of cars over the years. so far ive been very impressed as it ticks the boxes i have been looking for - 4 decent seats / useable all year round and comfortable! ive spent a fair amount of time looking through old threads to get up to speed with the car as much as possible. the 2 things i will probably look at doing with the car in the near future is a) apple car play fit - as i cant stream music from the phone and the cost for a decent bluetooth adapter seems to be not far off a carplay solution? b) a performance upgrade - although the last few times driving it ive been more than happy putting it in comfort so the upgrade may not be as high priority as i thought before buying! what are peoples views who have done an ECU upgrade - worth the money? a noticeable difference in performance?? also with regard to car play, can anyone thats done it recommend any options thanks a lot Gareth
