    Thanks for the quick response Steve. Much appreciated. I guess what I really want to know is just whether or not another gearbox would actually physically fit or am I just better off to keeping searching for the specific LMA coded box! (I’ve actually just found one in Germany but it’s 3x the price of others here!)

    Hi everyone, Iain here, new member and current owner of 2 Audi cars. An A3 convertible 1.8tfsi (09) and an A4 allroad 2.0tdi (09). I’m in need of a new gearbox on the Allroad and my build code is LMA. My question; is there any real difference between my gearbox and say an LLR one or similar (far more of them and cheaper too) or would I need an exact replacement. Any help greatly appreciated thanks in advance folks 😊
