  1. Hi folks new to the forum. So my missus got a new to us 2019 s-line Avant 2.0tdi 40. We've had the car for about 4 weeks now and I've noticed that the coil light NEVER comes on at all. When she first got the car a few times the car would have cranked over but not started until you hit the stop button and then upon pressing start immediately again it started on second occasion each time but this only happened a few times and was only ever on first cold start in the morning. Car was in with Audi last week and had an anti roll bar recall sorted and two software updates done which seems to have cured the very occasional non starting issue but the coil light still never comes on. I put a brand new bosch glow plug relay in to see if that helped it but it didn't do anything. I should add after the updates now the car on its first cold start in the morning definitely seems to be taking slightly longer to start as if it is heating the glow plugs and when it starts it runs dead on so I do think the glow plugs are working but it's baffling me why the light never ever comes up on the dash. I have searched everywhere online and can't find anyone with a similar problem to this and every light on the dash works bar the glow plug light surely on a 5 year old car it wouldn't be the actual light on the dash that's the problem?
