  1. I am trying to source a set, L & R boot lid bump stops, 8G0827249D and 50D resp. "Audi Tradition" in Germany have them in stock, but do not post to the UK Post Brexit. Is there anyone in Germany that would help me and purchase them and post to me? AUDI UK don't seem to be able to help. Regards Rees Marshall
  2. Hi, does anyone have a decent set (pair) of rubber bump stops for an Audi Cabriolet B4 1995/96? Please see attached phot of the design on my Cabriolet. I would also be interested in knowing if anyone has undertaken a modified fit to use more recent design of stop?
  3. Hi guys, where in the UK am I going to source a replacement NS Rear Wing for my 2.6E (1995). How difficult a job is it as I guess the rear panels are not bolted, but welded in place? Thanks for your help. Regards, Rees
  4. Hi All, recently added a 2.3 Cab to my careem which includes a 2.6 V6 Cab with 34K (soon to be Sold) Issue today is with the electrics and in particular the soft-top. I purchased car knowing roof stowage lid "push-button" did not work but raising roof is not difficult at all, so t thought I would try and fix problem. On turning handle to release front catches from within, roof lifts but no dropping of windows or "Roof Open" Light illuminated on dash. Cant find any signs of a switch enclosed in windscreen top rail or behind locking handle so how does car know roof has been released as I am informed that an alarm should annunciate on releasing handle. I have seen manual and am aware that handbrake and ignition should should be ON and roof parked as per manual before pushing roof-lid release button. I can get Alarm and windows to drop by disconnecting a snap connection at rear but the logic sequence is hard to find out about and hence follow. Why are there so many wires going to Left and Right Hydraulic catches as sure they only exists to lock and release Lid. Cant see the point of having 3 switches within if Lid is raised and lowered manually. Finally, should my Lid stay Up when stowing soft-top as mine does not. Perhaps my 2 dampers have failed? Regards and thanks to those that engage with thoughts. Rees P.S. Purple V6 is defo coming up for Sale and All I am asking is what the car has cost me. Mileage is genuine and only issue seems to be central locking of boot. Electric roof works everytime. Black stripped cloth seats in excellent condition.
  5. Uuum, not sure James. I actually love both cars for different reasons. What may well sway me is future repair costs and the V6 with electric hood could become very expensive! As for my 5 cylinder, well what about this! Took car to MOT and it failed; struggled through emissions and needs new front disks and pads and a top mount bearing for O/S strut! Anyway came home did a bit of research to locate Oxygen/fuel mixture screw to see if tampering had occurred! Well screw was not too far Out, but was missing completely! Can't see any thread within hole so not sure how the original fit worked. What I do know is that when I gently touch "plate" with 3 mm allen key the speed of the engine drops so I guess this is why my engine is running rich at idle. Regards
  6. My problem!! I have 2 cabriolets and One has to go! Black 2.3, leather, good paint work, 113K MOT, 1993 or Purple 2.6 Cloth, OK paintwork, 34K MOT 1996 Difficult but I am moving towards the 2.3 as I don't do any more than 300 miles a year and only when the sun is shining! Please help. Regards
