  2. a reply to all on my battery. now had it done at my normal garage. everything checked and ok. £156. dont ask what battery it is because id have to ask someone to tell me lol.thanks all.
  3. ive found varying degrees of help on here so im happy.without the knowledge provided on this forum id be paying a fortune for audi to fix. but then again i do get the car cleaned inc.of the price lol.
  4. im pretty sure the price i pay from the garage i use will be very competitive.hes never ripped me off yet.
  5. i trust the garage completely. its run by a friend of the family and weve used him for years.
  6. just an update on battery. i was priced online up to £150 for battery plus extra for coding. I checked audi out of curiosity (which i know killed the cat) and they quoted nearly £700 !!!!. taking it to my local garage which ive used for years (in december after holiday) and ill let everyone know how ive got on. once again thank you for all the help id have been lost without it x

  10. if something was draing the battery though wouldnt that be most of the time. usual things, radio,wipers heaters lights etc and a dash cam are on regularly with no issues but its only when the cold and frost arrives does it not hold its charge. it also charges up whilst driving. thanks

  13. have charged it. battery shows right down.then charges up fully. but after a few days of really cold weather shows battery low.
  14. magnet.the car is used daily. only in cold weather when heaters wipers etc are all on. every day. its fine in summer but not in winter when everything is on
  15. hi gareth.in cold weather it comes up low battery,battery will be charged while driving. its out of warranty anyway as far as i know. i just wonder if it will mess anything up if i go to a normal battery place.thanks
  16. hi all. I need the battery replacing on my q3.audi very expensive but im concerned ill lose all my settings if i take it elsewhere. any advice would be welcome. thank you marilyn
  17. husband just bought a A3 saloon ( our 10th audi between us ) and im just wondering would he have to take it to audi to get the sat nav updated (cost a fortune ) or would just be able to buy a card or disc and do it himself. thanks in advance marilyn.
  18. yes they work when the ignition is turned on but as i said they used to come on as soon as you unlocked the door which was handy because it lit up around the car.

Hi all. first time post on this forum and looking for advice.I always leave my lights on auto and usually when i unlock the doors the lights come on lighting up the drive etc.however they have now stopped doing this and only come on when i put the key in.i have not touched any settings so dont understand why this should suddenly happen. any advice would be welcome/ thank you marilyn nottingham.
