White smoke from exhaust - loosing coolant
Apologies for the delay in replying, i have no excuse, life admin on high, etc 🙂. So as I drove the car more and if, lets say the temp was above 12 degrees, no issue really. Yes the vapour is present on cold days, I do think it is vapour now and once car is warm there is nothing even when booting. I paid £96 for a thorough health check and the following was found. Battery weak, front bushes slightly worn and the most peculiar thing no codes after a deep scan which mechanic said was unsual. No issues with car at the moment, its running pretty well. I am just going to let it run. Is there anything when ur car is warm, i think its a VW/Audi peculiarity re: vapour. However, I have seen Hyundais do it also.

White smoke from exhaust - loosing coolant
Hi. So just bought an Audi A3 1.4 tfsi 2014. I am surprised at the amount to smoke/vapour thats being emitted. Bit scary. Coolant is just above min. its like a ploom of vapour that is emiited when I get to the top of the gear change and when I change to next gear (manual), then its gone, its not like its leaving a trail behind me in the way a diesel car would do, it swirls around the back of the car. Drove on motorway for 15 minutes and got off on A/B roads. Nothing then, clear. I am going to take it to a mechanic for piece of mind. Car has 64k, clean MOT through its life, cant see any leaks, oil is clear, has full service history, no warning lights, nothing an a cheap obd2, pulls well, MPG is good, etc. Any ideas ? Many thanks
