  2. Hi cliffcoggin thsnks for your answer will have a look if I can. I can’t hear any squealing and it’s only intermittent. I thought about it being a pulley bearing locking occasionally but that would cause squealing too I guess. It’s getting booked in to a mechanic asap
  3. Thanks Steve. I have had a good look in engine bay but still cannot trace anything that causes the intermittent burning rubber smell. Will book it in garage and see if they can trace it.

  5. Hi. just started to get a intermittent smell of rubber burning, it lasts for about 5 secs then comes back after about 10-25 mins . Is it pollen filter because I can’t see anything in engine bay . It’s a 1.6d 2010 reg. Any ideas. thanks Gerry
