  1. I've had hot start issues for months. Have you tried jump starting it from the engine bay when it doesnt start? If it starts, it may be resistance going back towards the battery. Absolutely nightmare trying to solve this one
  2. Hi All, For close to a year I've had hot start issues. Car drive and starts lovely when cold but can't restart once engine is hot. I've replaced most of the culprits (starter, battery, sensors, earth cables etc the list goes on). However, the car starts when I use a jump pack from the engine bay which leads me to believe there is resistance going back to the battery from engine bay. I ran a new negative earth from battery to engine block but didn't seem to help and now looking at swapping out positive cable that runs from battery to engine bay. My question is, has anyone done this before as I know it's a faff to get to. Any tips or feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Evening All, I’m trying to find the location coolant temperature sensor for my 2012 Audi Q7 3.0 diesel. I’ve been having hot start issues - replaced starter, battery, cam shaft position sensor and o2 sensor. Mechanic is perplexed as car starts and runs perfectly until you drive for a long period, stop the car and try and start it again. Reading it could be engine coolant temperature sensor, fuel system related (running out of other things to test!) Cant find anywhere that gives correct position for the engine coolant temperature sensor. Any ideas / images much appreciated.
