Cheers, now you mention the lock, it does sometimes sound like the central locking mechanism is struggling to lock when the car drives off and it auto locks, so maybe that’s a sign there is something amiss in the locking system. I’ll look into getting a decent scanner

I’ve got a 71 plate A6 Avant 40TDI. over the last few days, maybe just over a week now, the alarm will trigger within 30-60 seconds of locking the car. (Usually just enough time to unlock the house and get inside and put my keys away). Once it’s unlocked and locked again, it seems fine and it doesn’t happen again, until the next time it’s driven. has anyone else experienced anything similar and found a solution without another visit to a garage! 🙄
