  1. I’m wondering if anyone can offer me some help/advice because I’m so lost and stuck on what to do. 5 weeks ago I was told my Audi a4 needed a new steering rack I had no lights on the dash or anything but rack was indeed leaking the part new was available nowhere new not even Audi so I was forced to buy a second hand part. The part on the car was the original part -part number 8t2422065s. I was told that part was remade for better quality and the part number for the new part I needed was 8t2422066a so I ordered the second hand part through the new part number the part was fitted on the car and works well but the car has had traction light power steering light and abs light on since the garage it was at could not resolve this so I took it to a vw specialist today and they said their machine was saying wrong part but when I went there and gave them the part number they said no that is the correct part so they have said that more than likely the part is internally damaged? But she also said the car might just be having a wobbler?? They couldn’t answer but what if my car just doesn’t like the remake of the part I am lost as to buy another second hand part of the remake or if I try and get the original part I really am lost and have 12 days before mot is due! I’m wondering if anyone and offer me some genuine help and advice Because I’ve been so stressed. Seems that no garage can actually give me the answer to solve the issues I’m having
