  3. Hi, would anyone know if the wishbones at the back of an A3 2010 8P 1.6 Petrol are interchangeable? They appear to have different codes but look the same. Wanted to check before ordering as see some advertising as left and right, while others are advertising as left only. This is the rear lower front control arm / wishbone and not the one which the spring sits on. Looking to replace both. Many thanks in advance.
  4. The first picture shows the drain plug, I left the hex to show where it's located in ref to the filler plug in the 2nd picture
  5. Finally got around to draining the gear box oil today. I was expecting it to be low as could see that the last owner had a new driveshaft fitted, but wasn't expecting there to only be 1 litre in there. Car was level and I filled it up using a large syringe 1.5 litres. There must have been some of the old oil left in the gearbox as I read that these take 1.8 litres. Will check it in a few days to make sure its still topped up.
  6. Think i have found the correct locations. The picture listed in the haynes workshop manual page 1A.10 calls this the filler but it looks to be the drain plug. The filler looks to be located higher up at the back of the gear box. The picture with the drive shaft shows the drain plug 17mm hex in the lower section. Other picture shows the filler plug just sticking out at the rear of the gear box. Will give this a go next weekend if the weather stays dry.
  7. Happy days, thanks for coming back to me, I really appreciate the advice. I will upload comments once i find out ๐Ÿ™‚
  8. Hi. I'm looking to change the gear / transmission oil on an A3 1.6 petrol 2010. I removed the front passenger wheel and took a few pictures but not sure where in earth the hex drain plug is... the haynes manual says the bottom hex bolt is the refill overflow one? The one over to the right
