Gareth, I purchased the F&R cameras from Integrated Automotive after I installed the CarPlay IMI-1000 unit from the into the A5. It made sense to use their offering as it was plug & Play. Front camera fits nicely in the grill and the rear camera replaces the boot handle very well and is barely visible. I also have a Thinkware system for my dash cams F&R - not the cheapest but very spot with them. https://integratedautomotive.co.uk/ https://thinkwaredashcam.eu/ As far as I know the Integrated Automotive system does not support dash cams with its unit hence the two systems. Hello, By way of closure on this for me. Integrated Automotive supplied me with an alternative camera which fitted beautifully into the tail handle and all works well now. Hello, So I understand that there could be a TV tuner fitted to Audi cars? I have a 2010 A5 with 3G MMI and was wondering if I could retro fit? I can buy a digital tv tuner, full harness and holder on the evilbay for decent money so asking the collective if they have done this? Is it possible and how difficult is it? Hello, So new N/S door loom fitted seems to have resolved the nproblem which is good news. Inspected the old one and no visible sign of damage so whatever the issue it must be cocealed working the loom covering tape. Cost? Well genuine Audi part was £175…. Hello, Some dash cam systems can be powered from your OBD2 reader - Mine is a Thinkware system and they sell a specific power lead to achieve this. So might be worth checking on your dashcam manufacturer’s website to see if there is an option you can purchase? I had a quick look at their website and it seems there are options on there depending on which kit/bundle you have purchased. Hope you get sorted. Best regards, David👍

Gareth, Phil (brother) assured me it was checked as best you can in situ and nothing amiss especially in the area of the bellows so next option has to be replace the loom…. Won’t be cheap… At least I get family & friends rate 😃 Best regards, David😃

So by way of an update… Door trim removed and checked - Nothing obvious so replacement door trim ordered but on back order just now. Odd thing is that the window works fine so presume separate loom? Alos noticed that in addition to the mirror adjust & heat and the mirror indicator not working the remote door locking in the door also does not work… Here’s hoping the replacement loom sorts it! The sound is OK. But the existing B&O car system is better TBH and that’s how I run mine. I guess OEM and s best but this comes a decent second? I am overall very happy with mine as I have the Car Play installed in a car of a vintage where Car Play was just a pipe dream…. Best regards David

Hello, I did an upgrade to my 2010 A5 MMI using a product supplied by a UK company called Integrated Automotive - www.integratedautomotive.co.uk - It is a plug and play but I elected to use my friendly local expert as it is quite a tricky affair which does involve some basic dashboard dismantling skills. Not cheap but should give you what you need. I also opted for front & rear camera as well which was IMHO well worth it Best regards, David👍

Hello, After my Sat Nav I also upgraded to a Car Play system with F&R cameras. It was an Integrated Automotive IMI 1000 which was pretty much plug and play. Just one snag though with the reverse camera…. The one supplied worked when plugged in but it was the wrong size for the handle aperture. They supplied an alterate on which when plugged in doesn’t give an image so will test back to them to see what they suggest to resolve and will update here towards the end of October as on holiday for 3 weeks now. Loving all the features of Car Play so look forwards to getting the finalpiece of the jigsaw sorted. Best regards, David👍

Cliff, Thanks for that - I did wonder if it might be something like that. I’ll live with it for a few weeks as am away on holidays and during that time it will be going in for a service to P W Motorsport and I can get them to take a look whilst I am relaxing on my sun-lounger! BTW hoping this is allowed - P W Motorsport is based in Clunderwyn in South Walker and specialises in all things VW & Audi. Founded by my brother Philip many years ago and now owned by Karl Gos. Both of them know their stuff and finally after 66 years they have got me in an Audi having always resisted their well meaning suggestions😃 I will report back towards the end of October on what they find. Hello, My car is a 2010 Audi A5 3.0 TDi cabriolet and a UK model. Looking for an any pointers…. Noticed that my passenger mirror adjustment is not working and neither is the indicator light. Window and locking all work fine. Looked through the myriad of fuses in the owners manual and there doesn’t seem to be a related one to test and/or change. Just to add drivers door is all good with everything working. I would very much appreciate any ideas from the collective brains here? Thanks for reading Best regards, David👍

One thing - when/if you order ask them for the install instructions as it is quite a lengthy but straight forward process and you will need to follow instructions to the letter in my experience of doing mine - works well though! Best regards david

Hello, So whilst exploring the MMI on my newly acquired 2010 A5 I came across this display in the “CAR” menu. It gives me an option (Top right) to go onto “Hamdbook and then asks for it to be inserted. Was there some sort of digital version that was able to be placed in the SD card slot perhaps? Hello, That’s the one. They will advise you on which update set you need. Also best to ask them for your installation guide as a PDF. It is very specific and must be followed to the letter! You get 3 x SD cards… Firmware, Maps and activation. It takes around 4 hours to complete. I chose to let my car run right through the tie it takes as you want to avoid any hiccups along the way. If you get stuck their customer service is very good - I spoke to David who answered all my queries very promptly. Hope it works for !Removed! well as it did for me Best regards, David👍

Hello, After sourcing a second hand unit and fitting it to my 2003 A4 Convertible (About 1.5 hours to do) I unexpectedly upgraded to an A5 3.0TDi convertible! The whole unit is there for available to anyone who wants it for £50 delivered? Colour is black nut door can easily be swapped. Worked very well for the short time I had it. Hello, Well after all that I have upgraded the A4 to an A5 3.0TDI Convertible. So I have removed the recently fitted fridge and restored the A4 back to normal. Therefore the fridge/glove boxis surplus. Any one fancy it for £50 delivered? CD player is removed. Best regards, David👍

Thanks for that. I contacted a UK company called satnavmapupdate and they supplied me with 3 SD cards to update my HNav system/ Found them very helpful and after about a 4 hour upload and update I now have updated firmware and 2024 maps on my 2010 A5. All working well Best regards, David🙂
