  1. Update: I have unplugged the compressor aswell from the circuit fuse 4 still blows. Next is to check 12v from compressor. I read relay 267 and 384 are common culprits but locating them is the hard part. We have an A3 8p 2005 bkd if anyone knows method and location please.
  2. Thanks for the reply. We'll the fault occurred during the MOT test, it come out the station with an oil level sensor light on the dash even though the level is spot on. 2 weeks later i changed it which worked for a week the the light come back on. I only noticed the ac issue when we went for a regas last week, he said the clutch wouldn't engage on the compressor which is either due to g65 or dodgy compressor. We changed the g65 took it back and bingo clutch worked and filled it up. But.. the econ light stays on and no cold air, check fuse.. blown and here we are... I have now disconnected the compressor, g65, oil level sensor, turned off whole control unit for ac, removed reverse light bulb and fog bulb which were blown and fuse 4 still blows. It's now been 2 months since mot and not sure what I can do.. I do feel I need help
  3. Hello all and thanks for reading my post. We have an audi A3 8p bkd 2005 with an electrical fault that's driving me and my Son crazy. We've read forums and done the following Fault occurred during an MOT test when the Oil level sensor light come on and econ light won't go off so no cool air. We changed oil level sensor and G65 still fault. Chase time: Removed G65 mating connector, removed oil level sensor connector Turned off ac unit No4 fuse still blows, next is remove connector from ac compressor and check fuse. My only other thought is trapped wire harness but where, what do MOT tester look at.. my head is frazzled. We have also checked ac coolant gas level and it's full. Any help would be very welcome. Thank you for reading.
