  1. Thanks Steve, Yeah someone i know suggested the replacing the clock spring but I didn't want to change another part if not needed, but I did have to remove my sterring wheel and clock spring to get to the angle sensor to replace the part but I made sure nothing moved around while doing the job, especially on the clock spring. When you say pull tab i understand you get that on a clock spring but i didnt know you get a pull tab on the steering angle sensor aswell as its just a small box with pin port for the motherboard underneath. I'll see if I can get someone with (VCDS) and hopefully get it looked at, just been a pain each time I turn my car on, just the sound. Everything else is fine
  2. Hi Steve, I've tried the full lock you suggested but nothing, how would I go about coding the sensor, it is a used part from ebay. Would I need Vag com as I only have a normal OBD but eachtime I go onto steering angle sensor it asks for access code but I've tried every code I can find but not giving me access. Thank you for your help
  3. First time posting on here hoping for some help, so thank you to anyone replying. I have a Audi a3 2008 8p1 1.6 petrol. My steering wheel lock needed replacing as it wouldn't unlock anymore. So bought the correct part and went to fit, all went well using the old key barrel in the new part and fitting back togther. Once I turned the car on I had a steering light (Amber) and ESP light. I thought i done something wrong so I undone everything and fit it back togther. But then my dash wouldn't turn on, turning the key done nothing, there was no power. So I replaced the Steering control module but still was nothing. After checking all wires/fittings/relays turned out to be the F2 fuse under the bonnet. Put a new 5 amp fuse and it tuned straight back on, but with the same ESP light and Steering light. I tried to reset it but it kept saying Steering angle sensor, and I couldn't see any input from G85 just stayed at 0, on the my OBD (i don't have Vag Com) so I changed the steering angle sensor but still nothing. Car works perfectly fine. But I have a MOT in 4 weeks and I can't get rid of the ESP light and Steering light (Both Amber) any suggestions on what i can do next would be great.
