  1. My 2008 A5 Coupe has an intermittent door locking issue. This started with the NS door not always responding to the fob - easy to live with just unlocking it manually from within. Then the other day - the OS door stopped responding to the fob - locking me out. Persistent pressing of the fob unlock button opened the NS door - eureka all was well. Since then, the OS door opened and shut normally in response to the fob then stopped working again- the NS door still works when it feels like it. Initially I thought I had both door locking actuators going duff at the same time - until an experienced Audi tech told me that the door lock module was the culprit - so I have obtained a known to be good SH one. A picture of the replacement module is attached My question is - where on the car is the module located...? I think I saw something somewhere on line which showed it located in the boot behind the trim on the OS...? Can anyone verify that please - or advise otherwise? Thank you in advance - any intel or shared experience will be greatly appreciated. With best regards
  2. Thanks fellas. You're right Gareth, I've only had the car for 3 weeks and still learning about it - also it's my first Audi! I'm used to working on marques like Alfa Romeo, Subaru, Saab and the Peugeot 406 Coupe. I think I need to spend more time on the A5 to familiarise myself with it. I have access to a well equipped workshop and will be changing the transmission fluid next week. Whilst the A5 is on the lift I'll have a longer look for where the brake pad wear warning wiring would plug in. And also at Dalswinton's suggestion check for brake pad wiring at the rear With best regards
  3. Hi everyone I wonder whether anyone can offer some intel/know how on why my 2008 3.0TDI has its brake pad warning light lit - when the wear warning wiring to the NSF front brake pads is broken near the caliper and the brake pad wiring on the NSF missing entirely...? The rear brake pads and discs I've just had replaced professionally due to the complexity of the electronic handbrake - but I don't believe there is any brake pad wear warning facility at the rear brakes -unless somebody knows differently? Returning to the front brakes - both discs are lipped enough to plan changing them shortly - the need pads will come with wear warning wires - but I can't see where they would connect to. Does anyone have a parts breakdown picture of the front brakes/suspension - that would show where the brake pad warning wiring connects please? Any help would be gratefully received. With best regards
  4. Hi I've just bought my first ever Audi - and putting lots of time aside to read the handbook - it's got more buttons than Cadburys! Please could anyone pass some know how on the process for changing the automatic transmission fluid in by 2008 3.0 TDI. I believe it's the ZF 6 speed unit with torque converter - and takes specific fluid for this gearbox - that right? Any help would be gratefully received. With best regards
