Hi all.
Car: 2013 Audi A6 2.0 TDi CGLC.
I had an engine light illuminate some time last week, reading the codes i was met with the P0401 code (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected). I replaced the EGR valve and lower pipe with genuine replacement parts. Driving the car for 2 days, everything was fine until yesterday when the EML was illuminated again. The same code, but no issues in terms of performance.
Doing some research I have seen that sometimes these EGRs can flag issues when vac leaks are present. I have inspected the vaccum line that feeds directly into the EGR valve but no signs of perish (I will be conducting a full smoke test to flag any issues).
However, I would like to know if there are any other common problems that can effect the EGR valve, especially on the CGLC engines. Or if there is anything else I should be looking at?
Thanks
