    I had exactly the same issue with my 2019 A6 Avant 40 TDI Sport last year, failed MOT at 39K miles and a similar cost @ £250 per side. Thankfully i had got a deal earlier in the year for the "all in service and warranty" with Audi and they replaced FOC.
