Spot on , once service plan and warranty runs out I will be using the local German car Specialist, tend to know more than the Audi ‘Technicians’ anyway

Yes the parts are cheap but the main dealer charges £150 an hour , I took it to my local garage and he charged me £50 an hour . I’m not paying a £100 an hour extra to sit in a fancy showroom with a free coffee machine .

That upsets me as I have the service plan with the Audi warranty and they said that they wouldn’t replace them on the warranty because they were corroded . I bet the Audi dealer didn’t even bother asking the warranty company, just tried getting £500 out of me as it’s easier.

Just had my 2020 A6 in at the Audi dealer for a service and MOT . They failed the MOT on both rear spring lower spring seats being corroded and perished . They quoted just over £500 to get them replaced . Took it to my local garage and they charged £240. Common problem and not the best design , especially as the metal piece holds the spring seats in place and when they corrode they can become unstable .
