  1. I think the biggest surprise for me was how few similar opinons I could find on the internet. One motoring journalsit did raise the issue with Audi but they didn't acknowledge it to be a problem. I have found the problem on two different 30 TFSI's but it was a lot less noticeable on a 35 TFSI.
  2. My wife felt as if the car was running away when she pressed the brake going down a hill, has anyone else had the same feeling ?
  3. Cliff, It is under warranty until Feb 2028. I rejected it in case they tell me its normal behaviour for the car.
  4. I have just bought a 2025 A3 30TFSI, auto. I should be excited and polishing it however the brakes are driving me mad, They are not smooth and progressive, I would describe them as "slip and snatch". Sometimes its a firm feel to the pedal other times its soft and not slowing the car down quick enough. And sometimes I feel them snatch on and off as I slow down. I bought the car from a far distant Audi dealership and during the very short and hurried test drive I said a couple of times that I thought the brakes were weird but the salesman assured me they were okay. Unfortunately, I trusted him and assumed I was imagining the problem, how could there be a problem in a 6 month old, low mileage Audi ? Silly me, I bought it anyway. A Master Technician at a local Audi dealer agreed that there is a problem and the dealer I bought from has agreed to take it away and check it. I have formally rejected the car but given the dealer the opportunity to rectify the problem because I can't drive it if I can't be confident of what is going to happen when I press the brake pedal. Is anyone else having issues with their brake pedal or is it just my particular car, or maybe its just me ?
  5. People are telling me I'll get used to it 🙏.
  6. I hope so. I am just emailing the Sales Manager at the dealership with my tale of woe. Hopefully he will suggest something helpful although unfortunately they haven't got a branch within 200 miles of me.
  7. I have just had another drive this morning and I just find the brakes unpredictable. When I press the pedal I cannot be sure how much retardation they are going to give, sometimes they do a gentle slow down and other times they seem to bite properly. My other car is a 2018 Golf GT, also an auto and I have none of these problems with it. Audi's "Driver Assist" seems to me to be "Excessive Intervention" - I'm guessing that all of my concerns are resulting from Driver Assist. My family all think I am a bit mad cos I don't like this almost new, premium car.
  8. I have just bought a 2025 Audi A3 (used but low mlieage) and on the 200 mile journey home I was very, very disappointed, upset even, the Driver Assist stuff drove me mad. Even with everything turned off it still seemed to brake gently AFTER I had come off the footbrake. I can't live with this but not sure what to do now. What is VCDS ?
