I’m hoping to tap into the wisdom of the forum, because my 2010 Audi A5 B8 2.0 TDI (CAGA engine) has started playing games with on the day of my MOT. I had a DPF pressure sensor failure (confirmed with OBD). There was no P2563 failures at the time. I replace it, did some general electrical cleaning of other sockets and started her up..
I’m now getting the dreaded P2563 & 07934 readings on the OBD – Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor (G581) Range/Performance code.
I’ve cleared it, but it comes back — sometimes even at idle.
The engine light + flashing glow plug light = not a good look.
What I’ve checked so far:
Ran logs on boost (MAP), actuator feedback, and MAF.
Boost actual (red) follows boost requested (green) nicely, so the turbo itself seems healthy.
Actuator feedback was difficult to see from the above so below is a snapshot of it in action which i thought was a bit erratic but i don't know if that expected behavior?
I've checked for the "clicking" of the actuator and it does click when the car ignition is on and that was fine.
I've also checked for the actuator moving up/down with revs and also manually pushed it up/down and it seems fine.
No noticeable loss of power from what i can tell.
Any thoughts, whats your guesses and next steps of things to check, i'm really worried as replacing the actuator isn't something in my budget right now. 😞
Many thanks for looking and reading into this post to see if you could offer help.
