  1. When I got this trouble with alternator (A6 C8 3.0 diesel, 80Tkm) I reported to Audi dealer. Brought the vehicle to the dealer and they told me themself that the alternator was under 7-years warranty. Thus, replacement absolutely free of charge. No escalation, nothig was required. Main point is that: there should be failures in the control module of alternator. Germany. If I were you, I would clear the matter with Audi headquarter in the UK. They must confirm you the alternator is under extended warranty.
  2. 7-years warranty begins from the moment of FIRST registration of the vihecle. Number of previous owners does not matter.
  3. I know there are some updates for current converter (OBD11 says there is an update) but I do not have equipment to proceed with an update. More over my vehicle is not under Audi warranty any more (have only third party provider car warranty) and on my requests to go with update got only the answer that if no fault codes, there is no any necessity to update. In a few thousand km I should have service inspection from Audi, than I will ask then again. Thanks again for sharing the info.
  4. By the way, what type of 12V battery is installed in your case, AGM or EFB+?
  5. Thanks for a feedback. Do you know what exectly has been done to have 14,6V constantly? Battery management module software update? Mein says version 0108. Or Gateway 19? Software version 0036? Can you check the versions of software?
  6. Hi everyone. I am an owner of A6 C8 3.0 diesel with a motorcode DDVE. In February 2025 had the same problem with starter-generator as it was here in topic described. Audi Germany replaced starter-generator and NOX-sensor (the cause of failure) free of charge stating that SG is under extended 7 years warranty. Since then no sounds or failure codes on starter-generator. For 5 or 6 days I do have the following situation with voltage. Previously my onboard voltage was 13,3 volts at idle and up to 15,3 during recuperation. Now I have only 12V and rear 13,2 at idle and up to 15,3 at recuperation. Using OBD11 software have checked starter-generator, converter - no fault code, nothing at all. 12V battery does not drain and in the morning it has 12,5-12,4 V. Has anybody had such experience of dealing with the issue? Thanks.
