Hi guys. So it has been a right old detective work job as all of the websites (including brembo's own site) offer 3 different options with different sizes of pads/discs. I checked the build sticker in my handbook and put every single code into a website to find out what each option is. The brake codes simply said disc brakes so that was no help. But the breakthrough ('scuse the pun) was I spotted a code on the Brembo site that matched one of my option codes so bit the bullet and ordered. I was a little surprised to receive pads with piston clips on the back as every single video on Youtube shows pads without clips. So that gave me a few more moments of mild panic but Im confident that I've chosen the correct ones from Brembo. I'm only changing pads and hoping to do that this weekend so will update once completed. Another possibly daft question if I might ask (its my first time attempting to DIY brakes). I've read that using copperslip is a bad idea on modern brakes as it can interfere with the abs.... My current pads squeal like a banshee - hence changing them and I suspect they were done on the cheap by the supplying used car dealer. Some internet advice is to not use any grease at all and some advise a small amount of brake grease but not copper based. Any advice welcomed....... Thank you.

Hi everyone. New to the forum and hoping for some assistance. I would like to change my brake pads myself so defaulted to my usual online choices of GSF, Autodoc & Eurocarparts. My car is 2019 2ltr tdi 40 S line. I'd like to buy Brembo pads but in all the online car parts websites even when I put my reg in and match the car to their database, there are different choices. Eurocarparts give me 4 options for Brembo, an ATE system with 318mm discs, TRW with 300mm, Akebono with 350 or Brembo with 338. Am I right in thinking my car has 338mm Brembo caliper? Ive tried looking for the answer online but there is nothing definitive. I also tried decoding the options sticker in my handbook but nothing referenced the braking system. Finally I hoped that the Myaudi app would give me the answer but no joy. Can anyone help please?
