Yes have tried eBay and Partsfinder as well as Audi main dealer parts,Prestige Motor Services, Autodoc in Germany and various German parts websites (luckily my daughter-in-law is German). Have emailed Mike at Audibits 2. If I can't get the part, does anyone know of a work around?

Help please. My 1993 2.3l cabriolet constantly 'hunting' when idling, loses power under acceleration, clouds of black smoke, smell of unburned fuel, stalls at traffic lights, won't restart, failed MOT on emissions which were off the scale. Recommended brilliant Bosch fuel injection specialist Marlin Motor Engineers in Bletchley Milton Keynes - would recommend them. Problem diagnosed as broken idler switch. Trying to find - one Part no 026133093D. Think I have tried all the usual places but they seem to be unavailable. Can anyone help? Thanks George

I got some from Prestige Motor Services about six years ago. www.prestigemotorservices.co.uk They cost me £173 for two. Don't forget you'll need the retaining end caps too (£14 for two sets)

Hi Gareth Thanks for this. Gates seem unavailable, and I have been advised by a VAG independent specialist that the best combined kits are either Ina or Ruville, so think I'll go for Ina

Hello out there I am looking for advice on best timing belt and water pump kit supplier for a 1993 2.3l (5cyl) cabriolet. Can someone popint me in the right direction please? VAG don't seem to stock them any more. Many thanks George

Thanks Gareth. Have lookedfor the diagrams on line , and the only ones I seem to be able to find are in German. My wiring diagram knowledge is somewhat sketchy anyway, but in German, I really haven't a clue. Will have a look for Haynes manuals. Is the cooling setup generic, or is the 2.3 five cylinder engine 'special'

Hello out there. I hope someone can help. The cooling fan on my 1993 2.3 is permanently on. I have removed the fuse (no 20, 30 amp) to stop this but need a wiring diagram to sort the problem. There does not seem to be Haynes Manual for Cabriolets. Does anyone know where I can find one?
