  1. Problem solved. i got the car up in the air and took off the bottom panels, eventually found it chewed off flush where it comes out of a thicker loom. Very hard to spot. All soldered up with a new wire and working fine (after clearing the code)
  2. Hi, I am hoping someone can help with a problem I have. I have just had a problem with my 2018 A5 2.0t. The radiator fans came on all the time, I looked at the temp sender on the bottom rad hose on the right side of the engine bay, and the wiring has been chewed off the sensor. (Probably by the rats in the area I parked it) lying on top of the bottom engine cover/shield just under the sensor I found about 6 inches of the 2 core sensor wire. I cannot find the other end of the loom so that I can repair it. Now logic tells me it must be within 6 inches of the sensor since the cut bit of wire I have is 6 inches long. I have been under the bonnet for hours looking and can’t see it. Can anyone with the same model have a look and post a picture of where the wire goes between the sensor and the ecu. Thanks
