  1. Thank you! They have already been very helpful with advice. Mark
  2. Hi Steve, many thanks for the advice. I must admit I was clenching when the guy on the video was taking the airbag apart with the battery on! I will give the swap a try and see what happens. At worse I could find someone with a machine to code it for me. Thank you once again for the advice.
  3. Same here. Mine has done 245,000 miles. Regular oil changes, running on premium diesel and a good motorway run now and then. Full service history showing mods to known failure points is a must.
  4. Hi All and thank you for letting me join. I have recently acquired an Audi estate in...what could be deemed a bit of a state. It's a low mileage, barely run in (245,000 miles) but it's had everything done and drives perfectly. There are a couple of problems which apparently are common (door lock failures, rear wiper motor etc.) which I have done. I now have a new problem with the esp light on and the garage diagnosed multiple Steering angle sensor faults. I've watched a few you tube demos with some interesting techniques of removing the airbag with the ignition on (😳). so I wonder if anyone knows of an independent garage/ mechanic that could do the work? Failing that, could any kind folk advise if a new SAS would need recoding/ calibrating with an Audi diagnostic machine? Any help would be very much appreciated. TIA.
