  1. Mmmmm no idea, just been told the clutch and possibly the flywheel, I haven’t given them authority to take it out yet as I am in discussions with Audi UK. When it happened it had a really bad burning smell if that helps? Thanks for replying 😊
  2. Hello, I have an Audi A1 that is 3 years and 4 months old. On Monday I pulled up to a round about to let some traffic pass. When I tried to pull away, it was very difficult to get the car into gear. Once I got going again the car was over revving and eventually would not go into gear. Luckily enough there was a small independent garage just down the road. I managed to coast my car down the hill and into the garage(how lucky am I). The guys in the garage were amazing. Got my car I and had it inspected within the hour. Total clutch failure. £1100 repair. I have had no problems at all with my car before I pulled up to that round about. No clutch slip/over revving, trouble with gear changing, nothing. Of course, with my car being out of warranty by 3 months, Audi are refusing to repair it I just wanted to know 1. Is this a common occurrence with A1’s? 2. Are Audi correct in being so matter of fact that a clutch can go on a car of that age with 36456 miles on the clock? Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Michelle
