I've got a control unit fot the windows from Ebay. The driver's door window went down a bit yesterday and stopped working. I disconnected the battery and managed to get the window back up. It then didn't work again. Is this normal if it's the control unit?

I will have a go at the weekend. It looks more likely to be corroded wires.

I've just tried my odb adapter and it didn't show anything. I didn't want to try and expose the wires on the door because it looks quite difficult to access.

This was changed recently. Could I use a odb plug in thing I've got, to check?

Rain water got into the car a few months ago, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I suspect it probably does.

My ky fob isn't working either. The light flashes on the door. I can lock it with the key and it locks the passenger door as well. I can lock both doors when I'm sat inside and press the lock button.

Thank you. The battery is quite new. I think it's the wires somewhere. I'll have a look tomorrow. I'll watch some YouTube videos to see how to take the door cards off. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

Hello, this is my first post. I have a 2008 a4 2.0t convertible. It runs and drives okay. The windows and central locking don't work. I also can't get into the boot. My mechanic thought he had sorted it by replacing the ECU. I'm not mechanically minded so, please could someone explain to me like I'm a child? Thank you. I'm not taking it to the mechanic just yet until I have some idea what the issue is. I absolutely love the car, it's my most favourite car I've ever owned. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
