  1. I've got a control unit fot the windows from Ebay. The driver's door window went down a bit yesterday and stopped working. I disconnected the battery and managed to get the window back up. It then didn't work again. Is this normal if it's the control unit?
  2. I will have a go at the weekend. It looks more likely to be corroded wires.
  3. I've just tried my odb adapter and it didn't show anything. I didn't want to try and expose the wires on the door because it looks quite difficult to access.
  4. This was changed recently. Could I use a odb plug in thing I've got, to check?
  5. Rain water got into the car a few months ago, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I suspect it probably does.
  6. My ky fob isn't working either. The light flashes on the door. I can lock it with the key and it locks the passenger door as well. I can lock both doors when I'm sat inside and press the lock button.
  7. Thank you. The battery is quite new. I think it's the wires somewhere. I'll have a look tomorrow. I'll watch some YouTube videos to see how to take the door cards off. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
  8. Hello, this is my first post. I have a 2008 a4 2.0t convertible. It runs and drives okay. The windows and central locking don't work. I also can't get into the boot. My mechanic thought he had sorted it by replacing the ECU. I'm not mechanically minded so, please could someone explain to me like I'm a child? Thank you. I'm not taking it to the mechanic just yet until I have some idea what the issue is. I absolutely love the car, it's my most favourite car I've ever owned. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
