  1. Yes I get that. Took it out yesterday ready to make a note of the warning message, did 10 mile and the blessed car behaved like a gent. No problems. I will keep you all updated.
  2. Driving today with 18 miles on electric left, after a few minutes the car changed from electric to petrol. I stopped, turned off and restarted, on electric, then after a few minutes engine changed to petrol. Message about engine came up on the display but cannot remember what it said, it went off very quickly. Any ideas why this is happening?
  3. Thanks Steve.
  4. I have used auto transmission many years ago. My Audi plugin hybrid drives really nice when using electric, but when using petrol, if I am not accelerating it feels as if the car is braking. Not when I am in traffic, but on an open road. Is that normal? It also changes from electric to petrol when there is enough electric to run on. All advice gratefully recieved.
  5. My mistake. The pic of the cable is for charging using a 3 pin home socket. 2 pics, one of the car charging port of on car and one of charging cable for industrial power outlets.
  6. I dunno what type my connector is. See pic.
  7. As a newly to hybrid, do I need to carry the charging cable so I can charge the vehicle at a motorway station? Or are the connections the same for all makes of vehicles?
  8. I am trying to find out which is cheaper for a long run, public charging points of petrol? I go online to find out and cannot. Anyone help?
  9. Thank you Clifford, a very helpful post. In view of your comments I think I will get an electrician to put a suitable socket closer to where I need it.
  10. Yes Gareth. Yes Gareth,. thanks. I will look into a charge point. (if that is the correct t term).
  11. Sorry for any confusion. I was asking about using an extension cable between my domestic socket and the home charging cable supplied by Audi, not a charge point. My problem is that the supplied 3 pin cable is not really long enough.
  12. EV Charger Cable Type 2 to 3 Pin Plug 10M/32.81Ft, Max 3.1kW [6-13A] Electric Car Charger, Portable Car Type 2 Charging Cable 3 Pin with 2.4″ LED Screen, 12H Timing Delay, IP67/IP65 for EVs & PHEVs And wonder if it would do for me. Here is the link. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FHH3YX38?tag=track-ect-uk-2114513-21&linkCode=osi&th=1&ascsubtag=bnSEPh4efyjmhiz8y5y
  13. Thanks for your comments guys. I think that I may get myself a 10 metre cable. Not sure I want to go to Audi, any recommendations to third party suppliers?
  14. Thanks Gareth. I will only use an extension lead when I need to, and only in daylight when I am at home. I can position the car close to the socket, but it is tight, dunno why the car socket is not on the front of the car, ( yes I do, for the benefit of Audi), I usually back onto my drive, but will have to change my habits now.
