Is it possible to enable an acoustic bleep on the A3 sport back 8v? I have tried to do this using the obd eleven. I have enabled the short horn, standard horn and siren bleep but none seem to work. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong please.

An update... The obdeleven worked to a certain extent. I was able to enable the folding function but it only worked on the drivers side mirror. So after watching a few YouTube instructional videos I removed the door cards only to find that the passenger mirror has all the electric functions except for folding. So at some point the mirror has been swapped out. The obd also threw up a few other faults I was able to rectify myself. Regarding my warning due to lack of response. Apologies but I did message the moderators following the warning. My father was taken into hospital, acutely ill with heart failure so obviously responding or my folding mirrors for that matter were way down on my priorities. I do appreciate the responses I received and thankyou for trying to help me.

Thank you for the replies. I am currently awaiting an obd eleven being delivered. Both mirrors have been replaced at some point so I assume they will need re coding. Coding costs £70 so I thought an obd eleven would be a worthwhile investment

So here goes.... Im a new Audi owner. I have a 2013 63 plate A3 sportback which is in as new condition, one previous owner. It has folding mirrors with the dial to fold them on the driver door, this does not work. I have gone in to the mmi menu and the option for folding mirrors is not there. I have used the Audi app to check the car specs against the vin number and power fold mirrors was an optional extra that was on the car at point of purchase. The windows, central locking and mirror adjustments work fine. Not sure about the heated mirror as its not been cold to check. (again the dial has the option) Please help me solve this riddle and I will be your friend for life.

Update.... the dealer is collecting my car tomorrow and fitting a new radiator for me 🙂

I know that..... you know that...... Just to add light to my situation. Im a relatively new driver from Bradford buying a used car in Bradford. The car is absolutely mint except for the radiator issue. That is why I was considering buying the radiator and fitting it myself. Im not convinced I will get a satisfactory repair. Time will tell I guess 🤷‍♂️

Apparently not, I have seen multiple videos showing the radiator being swapped out by just removing the airbox and snorkel.. I bought the car from a used car dealers so taking it to him on Monday. Going to tell him it needs a new radiator, I'm just concerned he will probably tell his mechanic to stick some radweld in it and jobs done.

Drove approximately 30 miles down the motorway today to visit parents. About 3 hours later I got in the car and upon start up I got a warning to check coolant level. The coolant tank was totally empty, looking into the engine bay the fluid was on the floor pan all leaked down the radiator side (passenger side uk). After refilling and checking for leaks it seems the radiator itself is leaking down one side. I have looked up how to replace it myself and wondered, is it as easy as it looks to do or would I be better off taking it to a mechanic? The process look quite straightforward, more or less plug and play or am I missing something. Thanks for any help offered

I have a 2013 A3. The drivers door has a mirror fold switch but the mirrors won't fold. Going into the mmi and to central locking options, I only have open windows and lock doors. No mirror fold option. Is this a fuse issue? The mirrors adjust and built in indicators work, cannot confirm if the heater works as not cold enough yet.

Turns out, I'm a complete noob. It was the auxiliary belt I could see. Not the cam belt.....🤦‍♂️

It's one previous lady owner from new, currently don't have receipts to hand, collecting in an hour. The car is immaculate for the age so I'm hoping things were done as they were required and for no other reason. Not sure if aux belt has been done but I will investigate that today. Used car buying is such a minefield 🫣

Hi, I have put a deposit on an audi a3 sportback. 2013 1.4. It has done 90k and has had a new belt, pump and clutch with all receipts present. I did however notice that the cam cover is missing so the belt can clearly be seen. Is this a problem or can I just buy a new cover? Im a new driver so not very clued up. Thanks for any help
