That's good news that the Pro boost has done the job. Where did you get the idea to fit this mod; was it on that terrible A2 forum where everyone is out to rip you off? I actually read the whole thread that you started on the A2oc forum entitled 'Fsi misfire flogging a dead horse' Anyone reading through it would not recognise the villainous cast of characters that you claim you encountered. You basic question was whether you should try and fix the car or get rid of it and if anyone had cured a misfire on the Fsi. Nobody can answer the first part of that question without more details hence the advice about using VCDS (available for nothing via the VCDS directory on the forum as you were told twice) The second part was answered a couple of times before you started your ridiculous histrionics about it later in the thread but you seem incapable of recognising this without the poster actually saying 'Yes i fixed a misfire on an Fsi without spending a fortune'. Review the thread and you will see. You have not had your account closed, you are still free to post. The thread was closed because you were obtuse, seemingly determined not to listen to the advice offered and borderline rude. The A2oc forum is one of the very few forums still thriving and is packed full of very experienced and knowledgeable folk who in many cases give up a huge amount of their time to help people out. It was made clear that you could still post by the Mod who terminated the thread and he also invited you to post about how you got on with the car with the Pro boost (that you were made aware of on this terrible forum) if you had it fitted. Judging from your posts i think it is safe to assume that you thought that this was a jab at you and the Mod was hoping it would fail; not so. The Mod in question only wants to increase the knowledge base for the cars for future reference. He also spent hours of his own time helping me out with the VCDS installation on my computer and has endless patience with people like me who are genuinely keen but a bit dim with IT. Your post on here is damaging inasmuch as it may put off people trying to get help with their A2 from the A2oc forum and they will end up getting fleeced by garages that don't know the cars. The best A2 electronics person in the country is always on the forum and happy to advise and repair the complex systems at prices far below anything any garage could do it for and far quicker. Please think in future before you decide to try and attract attention to yourself by painting yourself as a victim of some conspiracy to rip you off. Dave C
