Hi. I don't have the tech pack and there is no car play icon on my screen. Im still working on getting the software updated to a version that may have car play but im told there is only a 50/50 chance of it working. If not I need to have a unit installed to the rear of the MMI 5F unit. it will be the New Year before I try.

Just an update for all. I've tried Autologist and they don't do car play. Ive emailed and waiting to hear back from Audi Retrofits. if anyone knows of what equipment may be needed for an upgrade I'd be delighted to hear. Thanks Andrew

Thanks for this. I have owned the car from new and the 5F MMI was replaced by Audi last year after a fault developed in it. I didn't upgrade the MMI when I ordered the car. is there anyway of establishing if i can check if my car has this option?

I have owned my early 2018 build A6 from new. The MMI is Navigation database version: 8X0919884K - P38-50-16.03 Software version: RMC_EU_P16342 Has anyone successfully upgraded this to allow for apple car play? If so, what do I need. Many thanks Andrew
