Hi guys.
I'm new on this forum and need some help. I've had my Audi Q5 2016 for a few months now running perfectly fine. 3 weeks ago I got a call from Audi dealership inviting me for recall related to engine software update. I thought it can't do any harm so why not. But how wrong I was. A day after the update, engine light came on, I went back to Audi dealers for a diagnostic check. They informed me the issue came up after the update and it was related to the EGR. They confirmed their warranty dept will review the logs and I should wait to hear back. After waiting almost 4 weeks and numerous calls they advised Audi UK said the fault was unrelated to the software update and they can't offer any goodwill to get it fixed.
I havent driven the car much as the last time I did there was steam coming from the front end, it was hot and a weird smell.
I have a raised a case with Audi UK to investigate further.
Has anyone ever been in a similar situation here?
