  1. Hi guys. Best wishes for 2026!! Can someone please advise if it is safe to use a Nextbase Hardwire OBD2 kit for a Nextbase dash cam. I have recently purchased one and I have the option of fitting either the OBD kit or the Fuse box one.
  2. They are not admitting that the Software update caused the EGR issue but the fact they didn't connect the hoses might be? I know it's a long shot but it's all emissions related. The code that came up on the diagnostics was p200200.
  3. Hi guys. Further update for you and some advice needed plz. The software update Audi carried out was in relation to SCR (Recall 23WA). I noticed steam coming from the front of the car so checked around with torch and noticed there was coolant leaking from around the hoses which connect to the Adblue Injector which sits on top of the Catalyst. It appears that Audi technician didn't put the clips in their correct place. See photo. I have sorted that now and no more steam! 1. Could this have caused the issue with EGR? 2. Can Audi reverse the software update? Your thoughts would be appreciated.
  4. Thanks Gareth. I wish I done my research beforehand. I've learnt the hard way. Cheers Steve. My cousin works in the same dealer but in parts dept. He said dealers priced up an EGR replacement part which was £250 in vat but as warranty dept didn't approve it... So to your question... Is that the low or high pressure one?
  5. Hi guys. I'm new on this forum and need some help. I've had my Audi Q5 2016 for a few months now running perfectly fine. 3 weeks ago I got a call from Audi dealership inviting me for recall related to engine software update. I thought it can't do any harm so why not. But how wrong I was. A day after the update, engine light came on, I went back to Audi dealers for a diagnostic check. They informed me the issue came up after the update and it was related to the EGR. They confirmed their warranty dept will review the logs and I should wait to hear back. After waiting almost 4 weeks and numerous calls they advised Audi UK said the fault was unrelated to the software update and they can't offer any goodwill to get it fixed. I havent driven the car much as the last time I did there was steam coming from the front end, it was hot and a weird smell. I have a raised a case with Audi UK to investigate further. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation here?
