  1. Totally agree Gareth. For those cheaper parts that are essential OEM supplier genuine parts is the way to go. I have used aftermarket in the past on different makes of cars but hated going back in to revisit a job, either through short service or failure of cheap aftermarket parts. I do not touch FEBI now ,and they are in fact no better than Autodoc ,and are merely parts suppliers .. not manufacturers. So i have been informed .. !
  2. Having just had my 2013 (Sportback 150 P.S september reg first facelift model) 1968 cc diesel CRBC engine ZZZ8V4EA type full gates timing belt kit plus water pump and tensioner +all rollers, I am disappointed to learn that my car has indeed another belt that should ideally be done. Although nothing mentioned by the garage when the belts were done .. is this correct ? Do i have a wet belt for this vehicle to drive the oil pump or is this early model still on the balance shaft drive gear type ? She has now clocked 168000 miles and i have just started to go through essential maint tactics as just aquired the car . It has been looked after over the years but was a gift from my son in law who has misplaced the service history. advice appreciated. ... regards
  3. Seems to be a bad contact on the auxiliary pump plug. I bought a hella OEM replacement pump . Does anyone know where to get the correct plug (female 3 pin ) connector from or part number ?
  4. Not sorted yet but getting code : P190/$07E on my obd2 scanner. Anyone know this code translate ? I assume with the end digits it would be an Audi/VW dealers code . Can anyone ,or does anyone know the exact definition , as it would help in tracing the fault. Thankyou in anticipation ....
  5. Hello Clifford , thanks for the reply. Will do ... fingers crossed !
  6. Just joined today and a Hello to other members ! I have the 2013 very early facelift 5 door hatch CRBC 1968 cc diesel. I have only just aquired the car and have fitted full gates timing belt kit and new auxillary pump. together with oil filter oil and coolant change and fuel filter. However, after changing the aux pump i have the code pending P190E$07E . I have tried to locate the fuses for this pumps relay itself and any relative fuses that relate. I have no idea where the relay/fuse box is located. As my car is the first facelift crbc model diesel 8v i would not think that the relay box is in the plenum .. but maybe wrong ! if i can first start with fuses and relays its a start , as the old aux motor was burnt out with no coil windings showing to measure on my tester in ohms.Luckily the motor was not siezed but needed changeing. The previous owner drove for some time without renewing the aux pump and ignotred the ecl lights. The car is up on 165000 miles and needs tlc but runs smoothly and quiet . No other issues but i would like to sort this issue out and give the car the TLC it deserves. Can anyone start me off with relay and fuses location before i go further please. location of which box and to identify the relay part number and where it lives ! New to ownership so on a steep learning curve ,but this seems to be a regular issue. Any advice very welcome ..
