Hi all,
Apologies if this topic has already been done to death. I currently own a 2004 3.2 V6 and the halogen headlights have seen better days. I thought this would be a good opportunity to upgrade them, so I purchased some complete single xenon units from a 2007 S3 (both cars pre facelift) along with some adapter cables from kufatec. The cables I've received don't fit the xenons. When I contacted kufatec they said the cables are for xenon to halogen and not the other way around and they don't support halogen to xenon. I don't understand why anyone would want to go from xenon to halogen. I therefore wondered if anyone has done this whole heading unit conversion and could offer some advice. Are the headlights straight plug and play without any adapters or will I need adapters and if so, could someone point me to a set. I also understand some coding will be required in VCDS which I can get access to. I want to keep the car as stock as possible as I'm not really into mods.
Any advice would be most welcome and happy to provide further information if required.
Kind regards
Luke
