  1. One other thing.. which they will know if they're any good.. you must refit the injectors in their original positions otherwise you also have to renew the tensioning brackets.
  2. I'll just chip in and say it's become a common fault and I would suggest that you replace all 6 at the same time. Otherwise as many have found repeat visits will cost more money and inconvenience.
  3. Looking at the engine specifications it has 250nm torque at 1500 rpm so not an insignificant amount for a 1.5 petrol, maybe a stab from the mild hybrid system too just at the moment you could do without it 🤷🏻 Anyway no such issues in the dry.. enjoy the car I'm sure you'll get used to it.
  4. Yes it has traction control, it comes in with quite a thump as it brakes the spinning wheel. I spoke with a guy who had one as a loan car who also complained about it's eagerness to wheelspin so it suggests it really is a thing. Agree it's a decent enough car, it just needs you to be as gentle as possible with it when pulling out into traffic.
  5. It's more an issue with this particular car IMO. I've driven and owned plenty of front wheel drive cars and none have been like this. I'm adapting to it though, but it still catches you out occasionally.
  6. I have exactly the same problem. The car came with Goodyear Eagle F1's which I've had for the last 20 odd years and been happy with. Although overall the grip is fine the traction from standstill of these cars on damp roads is appalling. We have a Polo which is better. Hopefully you'll find some improvement but I fear your problem won't be completely eradicated.
  7. So I think I did a reboot.. a long press/hold down of the power button, screen turned off, which it would obviously but didn't release the button until the screen came back to life. It took longer than usual to boot up so assume it worked. Sadly it hasn't changed anything as far as remembering the selected display choices. If I ever find a resolution for this or the coolant temperature I'll be sure to post it here.
  8. Much appreciated once again. Interesting theory, I'll see if I can initiate a reboot.
  9. Thank you Alan. Do you have to select the consumption data every time you use the car? To clarify what I'm experiencing I select the fuel consumption data and it's fine for that journey but when I restart the car the following day sometimes it's still showing, other times it's defaulted back to date/time. I can't figure out why. Previous cars have always retained the preferences once selected. It's only a minor issue but irritating nonetheless.
  10. Appreciate the reply Alan. I agree there are few selectable options compared to what I've been used to. Even when I select the option to have fuel consumption displayed it inexplicably randomly defaults to the date and time. My previous vehicles from the group have always stayed on whatever screen I've selected. 🤷🏻
  11. No, no rattling on mine, although it's still relatively new. To be honest in my experience rattles almost always occur due to some previous disturbance so maybe the door panel has been off in the past. If it's a dealer purchase take it back and ask them to rectify it.
  12. Good to know.. thanks. Looks as though I'm at the mercy of the dealer if ever I have a problem. My VCDS cable is also almost useless after 20+ years apart from on the older vehicles in the family. 😠
  13. If you bought from a dealer take it back. Read up on your Consumer rights. A fault occurring within 6 months the dealer is responsible and must attempt repair.
  14. Hi, since we seem to have the same model would you mind having a look at this topic? https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/30727-coolant-temperature-display/ Maybe you could shed some light on the subject.
  15. 2025 A3 Sportback Black Ed. 35 TFSI S-tronic MHEV. For the life of me I can't find a coolant temperature display in the "Virtual Cockpit Plus". There are 2 different views to choose from and I prefer the one with the larger more traditional look. The view that I don't particularly want to use does have an oil temperature gauge (which I would of thought less necessary) but currently there's no coolant temperature in either view. Annoyingly there's a stupid picture of a car using space where a coolant gauge could of been 🤷🏻 Does anyone familiar with Virtual Cockpit Plus know if there is a coolant temperature gauge hidden somewhere in the various configurable options?
  16. Thank for the welcome 👍
  17. I have an identical model to yours and can confirm that mine does the same. The outside tail lights go brighter as soon as I unlatch the tailgate and dim again when it closes. I don't think it's a fault, there's no flickering just a definite on/off that seems to suggest that it's deliberate even though I can't think why.
  18. I can't comment re the file size but I've installed map updates (on VWs) from a series of SD cards via the 5f unit and it takes several hours. In fact on those occasions it was recommended you have the car connected to a charger as the ignition is on throughout which obviously keeps various power hungry modules awake.
  19. First post and just a quick hello from me to the A3 community. Been lurking for a while having acquired a new one back in March so thought I'd join up I've had many VW/Audi cars over the last 30 years, the last 3 being VW Touaregs, all factory orders, various Golfs. Audi's before that have been A4's and 6's. Anyway decided to downsize to something more suited to my current needs and I'm generally pleased with the A3. Always find it useful to be on a forum, appreciate all the valuable help they provide and I'll definitely chip in wherever I can. Di
