  1. Thanks, that's it. It's an ECU remap that is sometimes done with stage 1 or stage 2 modification. I saw it on a YT video which I can't find now! They said the lower oil pressure was for better mpg and reduced emissions. But the reduced pressure at low revs combined with the 18k interval risked damaging timing chain gear. I think it was a Q7 that needed a very expensive rebuild. I was a bit spooked and wondered whether I should get the oil pressure increase mod done on its own. But I'm thinking your solution of increasing the frequency of oil changes makes more sense. I could get a fair few oil changes for the price of a remap.
  2. Hi, new member here. I have a 2017 Allroad with the 272bhp diesel engine. I have seen a few things online about a mod that can be made to increase oil pressure in the engine to reduce chances of excess wear and damage. I’m looking for views on whether this is a good idea. The car has 80k miles, full Audi service history (tho planning to use independent for next service). The car is driven mostly on motorways and country A roads. All thoughts and views gratefully received. Thanks.
