Thanks for the information, I'll give it a go. The V6 is more to insure but my daughters wee 4 pot is only £600 fully comp with her as owner and main driver.

After some serious consideration Corsa, Punto, Polo and other boring little shoe boxes my 17 year old daughter decided her first car was going to be a 1999 Audi 80 Cabriolet 1.8 in Java Green. When buying it she knew it would need some love to keep it in good condition and running well. It's been to a local garage and received pads and discs on the front along with a repair to the exhaust. The mechanic noted the car is in great condition but does need some bits and pieces done. I have been finding it difficult to find these parts (listed below) and would like to hear from anyone who might be able to help Interior heater blower Heater resistor Steering stabilizer bracket Any trusted local Audi or classic car specialists in or near Ayrshire recommendations would be gratefully appreciated.
