A few months ago on a morning my A6 would be sat very low on the rear passenger corner, when starting up, it would raise to the correct height, I ignored the issue foolishly until I got an amber and then red warning light on the dash… and it would no longer correct the problem. I took it to the garage who replaced the rear passenger airbag, the compressor (worn out from over working), (non original Audi) and the air manifold. The car was returned but the next morning on the way to work the amber, then red warning light (suspension too low) both came on, at the end of the day the rear drivers side was completely down. I took it to the garage and they replaced the drivers side airbag too. Now the cars suspension keeps dropping (to the ground) every couple of journeys, no pattern as in, more people in the car or type of driving or distance, sometimes it’s the rear that drops and now sometimes it’s the front that drops, on checking the fuse for the compressor (40 amp in boot) will have blown, replace the fuse and wait, and the ride height eventually returns (may take several restarts of the engine)! The garage has swapped the manifold back to the original one, same fault still exists. If it is the compressor and an electrical fault, why is it that different corners/ends drop? Do the new airbags need specifically calibrated via VAGCoM?Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
