So I purchased a 2021 A3 saloon 1.5 TFSI auto in November last year. when braking it feels like car lurches forward while braking,don’t seem as responsive as they should.there is a guy on YouTube who posted videos 5 years ago 20/21 A3, he had owned it 6 months and rated comfort, styling standard equipment packages available etc 1 thing he did mention was the brakes.said that it felt like they didn’t work, Has any body else who owns an a3 same year experienced this,I don’t know if it’s some kind of adaptive braking

Auxiliary belt is that the belt on water pump on opposite side of engine where it has to be timed up from, I work for a motor factors so I’ll if possible get parts from work yes I leats use gates Bosch German service garage in a town local to me or Audi who ever csn get me in quickest

Thanks to every body who commented I’m booking it in ASAP to have the belt done as peace of mind me

Steve’s the all in plan that Audi do and that I paid for won’t cover the Cost of the replacement belt and tensioners

Is it right that the 1.5 mhev petrol engine that I have in my Audi has a timing bent and tensioners on 1 side and water pump and smaller Belt in the other side of engine,

I have been informed by a couple of garages I deliver to that I’m being a little premature in think about doing it at just 26.000 miles but I will try the ALL IN PLAN as mentioned above

Yes I have the all in plan would that cover the cost of the replacement

I phoned my local Audi they said 149k no years over £1000 if Audi do it. ive only done 26.000 miles, its finding a garage/mobile mechanic with the correct timing tool to do it

Cliff hi thank you for the previous answer about timing bent interval change A3 8Y 1.5 I’ve looked through 10 pages on 8Y forum and can’t find the discussion about it, inkers the discussion is else where in the group any ideas where I’ll find it please

Unfortunatly it’s passed the 30 day period, it’s not a massive issue just annoying, I’ll take the door card off when it gets warmer and look

I took it back to the dealer I purchased it from, was told that “usual !Removed!” “not covered under warranty” I’ll have a look myself,I’ll remove door card and have a look. what year is yours?you like it
