I've been given the use of an AUDI A6 AVANT 40 TFSI Sport 5dr S Tronic, while my Volvo V90 gets repaired following someone behind me forgetting to stop. I'm going to be with it for a while so I'm hoping I can get a bit of help.
1. When using Car Play, and playing music through Spotify or an audiobook through Audible, the sound almost entirely comes from the rear speakers. If I set the speakers to "Front Only" it's very muffled. However, any voice interaction with Car Play, including Siri or phone calls, or using the car's radio, and it's all fine.
Has anyone else experienced this? It makes me feel nauseous weirdly!
Is there a way to adjust the balance between rear and front speakers or is it simply "all speakers" or "front only"?
2. I've read that all Audi A6's of this age have adaptive cruise control as standard. All except mine it seems! I have cruise control but there's nothing on the stalk to allow me to set a distance to the car in front so I guess I have the bog standard version. Am I missing something obvious?
3. Is there a way to have the lighting dim automatically at night? I can see how to adjust the dashboard brightness, but only on the screen; there's no manual dial, and, as yet, I've not found a way to make it darker at night. I know I can turn the screens off, but I'd prefer to just have it dim.
4. Is there a way to get Carplay to appear on the screen without having to press 2 or 3 acknowledgments first? I am a "guest user" as Audi's customer support say they can't assign me as the keyholder as the car isn't registered in my name?
First-world problems I know, but if there's an easy solution to any of these, I'd love to hear them!
Many thanks
