My 2021 Q7 50 TDI is chewing through front left tyres.
I bought it in 2024 with all four tyres in good nick (a new one on FL). 18m and 27k miles later and I need to but a third replacement on FL, whilst the remaining tyres have not yet needed replacing (and have quite a bit of life left on them). Every tyre has been Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2. Tracking has been checked numerous times (Arnold Clark and ATS Euromaster) and found to be only very slightly out (and adjusted).
Looking for some advice in way of the reason. Is it: (a) tracking issue?; (b) incorrect tyre selection?; (c) just expected wear with a heavy vehicle's load turning right in the UK? I don't drive like an idiot but do a lot of local miles.
Any help appreciated. Maybe my expectations are too high (I've had Audi before but not an SUV); and 30k+ miles for the other tyres seems more than reasonable. But before I fork out again for new tyres, am I selecting the best option? And she's being serviced next week - is there anything specific I should be asking? Thanks.
