  3. Hi, im a new member. My steering rack on my 2003 t.t. has emptied out ( of fluid) on my way home from work. Luckily i managed to keep steering for the last half mile. I purchased a litre of the correct fluid the following day. It ran straight out, all over my drive. The car is undriveable. Trying to source a replacement rack appears impossible. Someone said that audi had stopped making them in 2022, but theres no stock anywhere to be found. Is it true that i need to get the exact OEM numbered replacement or will any 2 wheel drive t.t. mk1 steering part fit? Im clutching at straws as clearly, 'non-technical', so any help would be appreciated. ive loved this car for 10 years and shes rarely let me down.
