  1. Hello mate You was in the right ballpark, today the Mrs informed me you need to sort my car out I need it for work, so I didn’t have the luxury of time to make it my next project. Have been paying the AA for 20 years so now it was time to use them. They came today and he went straight for the n/s under the manifold with his torch and spotted a slight wet patch. Unscrewed the manifold and there it was a bolt holding the rail in place had worked loose unseating No 4 injector a mm or 2, he said it was a common fault on the 1.4 engine. So he tightened it up and it ran better but still has slight leak so have to get the injectors re sealed and new bolts for the rail. Thanks for your help and advice, you was on the money.
  2. Hi, no misfire, down on power, no soot in exhaust or black smoke when driving it,bad smell of fuel but no leak present, good flow of fuel from low pressure pump, used 1/4 of a tank of fuel to do 5 miles. Where is this fuel going and what’s causing the smell
