Can I say that I was grateful to both members for their replies

Servicing
Thank you Francis. I agree with all you've mentioned. I also agree with the fairly regular oil and filter changes. I know when I sold my car via Motorway they didn't complain about non Ford dealer services

Servicing
Thank you , Joe. I bought an A3 on a 24 plate ( about 5 weeks ago) and it has done 18,000 odd miles. It has 1 years warranty left and the next service will be in 2027 and need it's first mot , too. I'm not being morbid , but I'm now 71 years old and of course whilst no one can for tell the future I would be reluctant to pay the all in plan.£700+ ( I believe that what I was quoted) ,as I might not be here?? Yes I would prefer to use an independent garage and I would definitely ensure that they use Audi parts. I'm not in a huge rush but need to make up my mind soon. I will have to look for a good independent garage and try and compare their costs. I do have an independent garage I've used in the past for previous cars. I shall have to enquire and see what price he quotes me too. I know when I used the Ford forums there was a "good garages" scheme?

Servicing
Although not required as yet, I'm thinking /looking ahead and wondering about servicing costs. Like all Audi dealers/dealerships it's best I guess to have your car serviced by Audi but I'm sure the price/s will not be as cheap as independents? (Yes they would have to use genuine parts). Does this forum show recommended companies i.e good garages that will be cheaper but carry out as good work as Audi. I look forward to guidance. Thank you.

Advice please. Run-flat tyres?
- Advice please. Run-flat tyres?
I bought a 2024 A3 Sportback 35 TFSI S line 5dr S Tronic ( Tech Pack) on Monday and am still trying to "learn the car". I will check the handbook. I need to consider purchasing alloy wheel cover but not from Audi ( I've got a cheaper quote, for 3 years) from MotorEasy. I need to know however if my car has run flat tyres; I believe I should look for a symbol., on the tyre (RFT on Pirelli's)? I don't think the Audi dealership I bought it from will know, especially as it wasn't one of their cars. I might take the car to a tyre place? for advice Does anyone have any ideas please? There are other things that are puzzling me. IF I may, I should like to return at a later time. Many Thanks in advance. Martin.. P.s I hope I've posted in the right place- Advice on buying A3 please.
Yes Cliff . You are right- Advice on buying A3 please.
Hi Cliff, I would be only looking at used petrol or hybrid's ( but not plug in). I will definitely avoid diesel. I would not want to go over 1.5 maximum ( have I got that right , ie 1.5 ?). My Focus is a 999 cc and I wouldn't want to go over an equivalent Audi 1 litre. I have to admit I know very little about audi's and their engine sizes. I don't do a lot of mileage. ; I rarely go over 2,000 miles a year- Advice on buying A3 please.
Hi Magnet, I would be buying second hand , not new .My budget is £22,500 . I could go to £23k but would be reluctant , unless it's got all that I want- Advice on buying A3 please.
Hi All. I can't remember word for word what I posted. Basically , I quite like the A3 and having bought my Focus Titanium I was disappointed to then find out that it had wet belt issues; I'm given to understand that that does not happen on Audi's A3's. I have to admit that the dashboard's on the A3s are quite appealing; I recall this when my son test drove one. I'm also guessing that Audi A3 owners think highly of their cars too? Would you recommend the A3, to me please? Thanks in advance.- Advice on buying A3 please.

I agree with all that's expected from new members. I am very puzzled however as the question I posed was never advertised/ put through and consequently I received no replies whatsoever- Advice on buying A3 please.
Hello I hope I am allowed to ask questions , to help me decide which particular Audi I should consider buying. I own and drive a Ford Focus Auto 2020 model but wish to consider a change. I like the Audi A3 but I was advised by a family member that I should consider buying an SUV, because of my age ( soon to be 71). I then thought that if I should consider an SUV I should go for an Audi Q2? So I went to the internet and looked at the AUDI Q2 but my initial search did not come out as favourable. Please may I receive some advice? Thanks in advance- Forum Etiquette - New Members - please read before posting
