  1. Having this same problem right now, 1.4 66 plate A3 cabriolet, epc light came on, cabin filled with the smell of petrol, tank began to empty, leaking rapidly from under engine bay, mechanic instructed me to stop immediately and get towed to repair shop before fuel touches part of the exhaust system or another heat source sending the car up in flames with myself and my family members inside. To then be told this is a common fault with this model and to find this thread here I’m beyond angry with what has just happened. Has anyone here since made any progress with Audi with regards to being reimbursed for repairs at least? This model should have been recalled and the fact Audi are clearly avoiding this is nothing short of disgraceful. This could easily lead to fatalities, it’s not acceptable.
