Hi all, I’m looking to install a Big brake kit on my A3 8Y but options appear extremely limited compared to the 8V. Car details: - 2022 Audi A3 8Y Sportback Edition 1 - 35 TFSI, 1.5 mild hybrid - 110kW / 1498cc - FWD - DQ200 automatic - Front brake PR code: 1ZK - Rear brake PR code: 1KE - Wheels: 19x8J ET45, 5x112, 57.1 centre bore - Tyres: 235/35 R19 91Y XL - No adaptive dampers I’m doing this purely for vanity / aesthetics i.e big discs and calipers and care not for performance so i'm trying to keep costs as low as possible (under £1.5k but unsure how realistic this is). I’m open to used/refurbished parts if that keeps costs down. Im looking for at least 4-pot calipers and at least 340mm discs. I realise S3 calipers would probably fit but they are only 2 pot so they don't really achieve the BBK look. RacingLine have confirmed their Stage 2 EVO kit is compatible with my vehicle and stock brake booster/master cylinder but I can't justify putting a £2k kit on an A3. I’ve also seen the Macan/Q5 Brembo 4-pot route discussed for MQB cars, but I’m not sure if anyone has actually fitted this to an A3 8Y 35 TFSI, especially with the 1ZK front brake setup or if its within budget. I have these 19" RS3 style replica wheels: https://wheelco.co.uk/product/audi-rs3-style-alloy-wheels/, so I’m hoping wheel clearance will be okay. Does anyone have any real-world experience with this? what are my options for this budget? Any issues with pedal feel, master cylinder, brake booster, ABS, ESC or coding after fitting larger/fixed calipers? Any advice would be appreciated. And yes, I should have just bought an S3 Thanks.
