Thats the odd thing, thats what it looks like, but this year, this model, I see other people saying it's working, it's not a huge deal, I'm just trying to understand what the trigger is for the artwork displaying, or if it is as simple as your stereo is just not compatible, but looking on the internet I see this make/model and lesseer models all working. Very odd.

no, I think I figured what was going on with this and it was a small bug in how my mac was setup. all sorted now.

I do have display track info option and it displays extneded track info based on the meta data stored in the mp3, artist, album, song, time remaining, I see on the google image search and forum threads I read you should either get the album artwork if it's embedded in the mp3 (whcih it is as 600x600 resolution) or a grey box with a quetion mark if it's not. I don't get that grey box, I just get the extended info, no image or grey box place holder image.

thanks for the response, to clarify, it's not a sat nav, it's just the sereo setup. I assume I have to go to audi to get the firmware update.

I'm new to using the SD card with the audi stereo, but following the instructions I've found on the web and various Audi docs - I'm working. Not as I would like but a good starting point. I'm just testing at the moment so I've copied across a folder with 1 artist with multiple albums in sub folders under it. This seems to work well and the Audi stereo can navigate this fine. The in stereo navigation system also shows these files and can't play them. why is it creating them ? what are their purpose, am I approaching using the SD card totally wrong.

I've been reading through some threads as I've only really just started using the SD card on my Audi stereo. the mp3 setup works fine, but I see some people getting album artwork, others not getting it, others being told they can never have it. I've got a hardware model H04 with software 0460 in an 2012 Avant, with the display on the dashboard (not steering dash - screen in the middle of the car) rather than direct on the stereo the screens resolution / colour display does not look like it should display artwork to me, but I see others saying it works no problem. My MP3's have the artwork built directly into the file, and are playing fine. What defines if you get artwork ? hardware of the stereo ? the software of the stereo, the screen model on the dash ? I'd quite like to understand if its possible (as artwork is a nice touch) and what is the trigger for it. thanks,

I'm trying to find out if the version of the software on my Audio stereo is the current one. I've got a Hardware HW04 model in an A4 Avant the software is listed as "0460" is this current ?
