  1. Hi everyone. After living with the car for a couple of weeks now you notice things that need doing! Now I knew there was something up with the front soft close on both sides. My question is are they on a fuse/relay or when they stop is it a dead motor generally? There is no noise at all when the door just clicks in. If it is a dead motor is it a separate unit to the actual door lock itself? Also the exterior door handle lights. Should there be 2 lights under each handle? As I only have 1 on 3 handles and the drivers door no light at all. On my dad's 2010 S8 he has 2 per handle. I have plugged in my vcds but can't seem to find anything on either of these problems. I admit I'm not fully 100% with vcds yet but am learning! And lastly for now! The main headlights are to low, are they only adjustable through vcds? Thanks for reading Ricky.
  2. 90 - 95L tank. I'm seeing around 300 miles from that!
  3. Thanks James I was driving a Mondeo ST TDCI for a couple of years. I dont actually like them but I do around 1000 - 1200 miles a week for work so it is a very econimical motor returning around 620miles from a tank. My dad has had a couple of these S8's with the V10 now and I have enjoyed the drive/comfort/power very much so decided to get one as a fun weekend car. I did look at an S6 with the V10 lump in prior but the mileage was to high for my liking, around 143k if i remember right. Yes the running costs can be daunting!!!!
  4. Hi everyone. Picked up a 2006 S8 5.2 V10 last week and will no doubt be after some advice on repairing things soon! Exterior door handle lights spring mind first as one is out! Cheers Rick
