  2. 2.0 Tdi BRD oil pump removal help

    Hi all new to Audi's in the last month and looking for some information regarding the oil pump removal for the balancer shaft upgrade. The sump is ready to take off now after removing the subframe for easy access but my question is do I have to time the engine up first before I remove to oil pump unit? Is the oil pump time in anyway to the crank? If anyone has done this I would be grateful for any help.
